Unlike many synthetic materials, silk is a natural protein fiber produced by silkworms, and it contains a special protein called sericin. Envelope Style Closure

All of our silk pillowcases come with an envelope style closing. We felt that this was a much better alternative to the zip closing as it would allow for our pillowcases to last longer. An envelope closure would not takeaway from the overall aesthetic of the silk pillowcase, unlike a zip style which after a while would be noticeable and even break!
